Friday December 23rd sunny and warm

Today we had over 50 volunteers working in the garden.  This was because we had a group of 23 coming from the American University of Paris who are doing various activities in Auroville.  Not surprisingly we got a huge amount of work done.

  1. We picked lettuce, roccolla, brinjal and ladies finger.
  2. We cleared composted and planted two beds in the seed garden which we then planted lettuces. I am hoping we can get seeds from these plants during this cool season.
  3. We cleared composted and mulched a bed in Le Jardin that we planted with bassella spinach.
  4. We cleared, composted and mulched another bed in Le Jardin which we then planted with beans.
  5. We cut glyricidea which we then used for mulching the guava trees in the guava patch.
  6. We weeded a bed in Le Jardin.
