Tuesday September 1st

WEATHER; Partly  cloudy

 

VOLUNTEERS; Paloma, Susheela, Spiros  with Pierre and Rajan.

 

WORK COMPLETED

 

  1. We cleared a basil bed in Le Jardin and after composting and mulching it planted it with bassella seedlings.
  2. We sorted out more sweet potato cuttings in the nursery.

 

Wednesday September 2nd

 

WEATHER; Mostly  cloudy

 

VOLUNTEERS; Paloma, Susheela, Spiros, Jannika, Needhin with Pierre and Rajan.

 

WORK COMPLETED

 

  1. We transplanted bassella seedlings to a bed in Le Jardin.
  2. We continued making compost in a bin we started a week or so ago.
  3.  We arranged for a wood chipping machine and spent some time chipping some of the wood that we have collected on the new land.

 

Thursday September 3rd

WEATHER; after morning rain it was mostly cloudy.

WORK COMPLETED

 

  1. We cleared a bassella bed in Le Jardin and replanted it with pumpkin seedlings.
  2. We picked bassella , brinjal and 12kg of snake gourd.
  3.  We transplanted pumpkin seedlings onto a bed in Vaiyu Bhoomi
  4.  We transplanted long beans onto a bed in the  Souryan garden.

 

Friday September 4th

WORK COMPLETED

 

  1. We transplanted long beans in Le Jardin.
  2. We transplanted pumpkin seedlings once again in Vaiyu Bhoomi.
  3.  We cleared an old long beans bed in the Souryan garden.
  4.  We picked long bean seeds from plants in Le Jardin.
  5. We continued to make compost
  6.   We transplanted Bassella seedlings to a bed in the seed garden.

 

Monday September 7th

  1. We picked snake gourd, long beans and brinjal
  2. We cleared and weeded a bed in theSouryan garden.
  3. We picked long beans for seeds in bed in Le Jardin.
  4. We transplanted roccolla seedlings in the nursery

  3.    We transplanted pumpkin seedlings on a bed in the Souryan garden
  4.    We took some soil from a bed in the Souryan garden for use in the nursery. We have to do this from time to time as the soil gradually builds up in the raised beds until it is too high above the brick sides.
  5.    We transplanted pumpkin seedlings onto a bed in the orchard.

  3.    We prepared beds in the Souryan garden and Le Jardin.
  4.    We mulched pumpkins in the orchard bed.
  5.    We prepared a bed in the Pryog garden

  3.    We cleared old long beans plant and weeding and taking out in Le Jardin
