Monday October 3rd sunny and very warm

Today there were 41 people working in Buddha Garden.  This included 33 students and staff from the Future Foundation Sri Aurobindo school in Kolkata.

  1. We picked basil, a huge amount of ladies finger, snake gourd, lukki, beans and bassella spinach.
  2. We weeded two beds in the Pryog garden – this required that the students correctly identified bassella spinach and weeds which they did rather well.
  3. We cleared a bed in Le Jardin.
  4. We cut some glyricidea and used it to mulch some beds in the New Horizon area. We then mulched with brown leaves on top.  Most of the beds are now ready for planting with pumpkins and sweet potatoes.
