Wednesday August 1st sunny and warm
With 8 people:
1. We started off clearing up a lot of tree branches from the entrance neem tree that were cut down yesterday. We had some strong winds in the afternoon and the branches were beating against the plastic on the nursery roof and so they had to be cut down.
2. We picked basil, bassella spinach, beans, papaya, a few snake gourd and micro greens.
3. We continued clearing up the fruit tree orchard in the New Horizon garden. We continued to transplant some of the trees into large bags.
4. We did some work in the nursery.
Thursday August 2nd sunny and warm with a nice breeze
With 11 people:
1. We picked basil, bassella, micro greens and green papaya (see next item!)
2. We cleared up a papaya tree that had fallen over yesterday afternoon. It was somewhat top heavy as it had a lot of papaya growing, but had been shored up with poles when it started to lean over. We didn’t have any particularly strong wind yesterday but suddenly in the afternoon it just fell down. Unfortunately most of the papaya on the tree won’t ripen and the amount of green papaya we can see is very limited.
3. We sieved some soil for the nursery.
4. We continued clearing up the trees in the New Horizon Tree Nursery and moved quite a lot of tree seedlings from the central nursery to the one in New Horizon. This is where people will come when they want to buy fruit tree seedlings.
Friday August 3rd overcast and a bit cooler
With 4 people:
1. We picked basil, bassella spinach, papaya, micro greens, beans and one snake gourd.
2. We spent a lot of time moving tree seedlings from the central nursery to the special tree nursery we have been clearing out in New Horizon. We now have a lovely space in the central nursery and the trees in the tree nursery are all sorted out and standing in nice straight rows.
Monday August 6th sunny and warm
With 5 people:
1. We picked bassella spinach, basil, a large amount of beans, papaya and micro greens
Tuesday August 7th sunny and warm
With 6 people:
1. We picked bassella spinach, basil, beans and micro greens.
2. We sieved some soil for the nursery.
3. We weeded two beds in the Souryan garden.
Monday August 6th overcast and Partly sunny
With 5 people
1. We picked basil, basella, papaya, micro greens and beans
2. We did the weeding in the basil and basella bed in the Souryan garden
Tuesday August 7th overcast and Partly sunny
With 3 people
1. We picked Micro greens.
2. We cleared a bed in the Souryan garden.
Wednesday August 8th overcast Partly sunny(rain)
With 3 people
1. We picked basil, micro greens, and beans.
2. We cleared a bassella bed in the seed garden which we then composted and mulched and planted beans.
Thursday August 9th overcast and Partly sunny(Rain)
With 4 people
1. We picked basil, bassella, micro greens and beans.
2. We clearing a bassella bed
3. We sowed long bean seeds in a bed in Le Jardin
4. We tied up the beans on a bed in the Pryog garden.
Friday August 10th overcast and Partly sunny
With 4 people
1. We picked basil, bassella, kumquat micro greens and beans.
2. We cleared a bed in the Pryog garden which we then composted and planted cluster bean seeds.
3. In the nursery we sowed cluster beans and basil seeds.
Monday August 13th overcast and Partly sunny
With 2 people
1. We picked basil, bassella spinach, micro greens, beans and snake gourd.
Tuesday August 14th overcast and a some sun; very warm
With 4 people
1. We picked basil, bassella spinach, kumquat, micro greens, and beans.
2. We transplanted long bean seedlings onto a bed in the Souryan garden.
3. We sieved soil for the nursery.
Wednesday August 15th overcast and a bit cooler
A public holiday so with one person we just picked basil.
Thursday August 16th overcast and some sun; sun very warm
With 4 people
1. We picked basil, lukki, micro greens, beans and snake gourd.
2. We cleared a bed in the Souryan garden which we then composted and planted with long bean seeds.

Friday August 17th overcast and some sun; very warm
With 3 people
1. We picked basil, and micro greens.
2. In the Pryog garden we weeded the bed of long beans and transplanted long bean seedlings in the gaps where plants had died.
3. We weeded a bed of lukki in the Pryog garden.
4. We planted 66 fruit trees in the lower New Horizon nursery.
Monday August 20th overcast and a bit cooler
With 4 people
1. We picked basil, micro greens, beans and snake gourd.
2. We transplanted cluster beans in the Pryog garden and seed garden
3. We tied up long beans rope in the Pryog garden.
Tuesday August 21st overcast and a bit cooler
With 6 people
1. We picked basil, bassella spinach, micro greens, and beans.
2. We weeded basil in the Pryog garden
3. We tied up long beans in the Seed Garden.
Wednesday August 22th overcast and a bit cooler
1. We picked basil, bassella spinach, chicken spinach, micro greens, and beans.
2. We weeded Basella in Le Jardin and the Souryan garden

3. We transplanted maize seedlings on a bed in the Souryan garden.
4. We did Nursery soil sieving.

2. We weeded long beans and basella in the Souryan garden .
Monday August 27th clouds after yesterday’s rain.
With 4 people
1. We picked basil, bassella spinach, papaya, micro greens, and beans.
2. We weeded all the beds in the Seed Garden.
Tuesday August 28th overcast and clouds after rain late yesterday.
With 5 people
1. We picked basil, bassella spinach, micro greens and beans.
2. We cleared a bed of lukki, composted and mulched the bed and then planted bassella spinach.
Wednesday August 29th overcast with clouds
With 5 people
1. We picked basil, papaya, micro greens and beans.
2. We weeded long beans bed on two beds in the Souryan garden
Thursday August 30th overcast clouds and sun pleasant
With 5 people
1. We picked basil, bassella spinach, micro greens and beans.
2. We cleared composted and mulched a bed in the Souryan garden that we then planted with maize.
3. We did fence work and compost making.
Friday August 31st overcast clouds and some sun after yesterday’s rain

We picked basil (10Kg) , bassella spinach, papaya, micro greens, kumquat (8Kg) and beans.
