Thursday June 8th cloudy, hot and humid With 6 people: We picked 7kg of basil which took almost all of the work time and some time after breakfast to clean ready to distribute. We planted basil on the bed in the Souryan garden that we prepared yesterday.
With 7 people: We picked bassella spinach, and small amounts of beans, lukki and ladies finger. We cleared, composted and mulched a bed in the Souryan garden. We cleared a bed in the Pryog garden. We cleared up the coconut fibre and covered it with net so the dogs can’t get to it and mess
With 6 people: We picked bassella spinach and basil which took a long time because of having to pick the leaves off the stems and, in the case of basil, make bunches. We planted lukki (bottle gourd) on a bed in the Pryog garden. We watered the fruit trees in the Pryog orchard.
